Ellen Blau is President of Blau Office Furniture LLC and spends most of her time working with our clients. Prior to forming Blau Office, she spent 10 years in private banking at Deutsche Bank/Bankers Trust, and before that worked in restaurant design. Ellen is a member of the board of The Friends of Washington Market Park in TriBeCa, gets her hands dirty leading planting at the PS 234 school gardens, and is former board chair of the Korean American Family Service Center. She graduated from Claremont McKenna College with a BA in International Management.

 

Bob Blau brings to Blau Office more than 40 years of contract furniture industry experience. Prior to forming Blau Office, he spent more than 30 years building and leading WB Wood, one of the largest Herman Miller dealers in the New York region. By the time he sold that company in 2009, Bob has served in every dealer management role, held at various times the positions of CEO, CFO and COO, and managed major client relationships and projects. Bob applies his experience to all aspects of Blau Office, but focuses especially on managing our vendor relationships and advising clients. Bob swims a mile almost every day, races across the Hudson River each year, and swam from Alcatraz to San Francisco, although just once. He graduated from Emory University with a BA in History.

 

Ken Blau is responsible for the company's finance, administration and infrastructure functions. He brings to Blau Office 20 years of financial, operational and client experience built at firms including Citigroup, Nomura and Bank of America, where he served as COO of a $750 million equities business. Ken serves as president of the board of his building in TriBeCa and has a thing for big two door American cars from the 70s. He graduated from The Wharton School with a BS in Economics, Summa Cum Laude.
